Emigrant's Association

The Union of Migrants and Friends of Treis Elies was funded in 1985 with the initiative of the migrant of Treis Elies. Its registration number is 475 dated on the 17th of January 1986.

In the Union’s statute the tasks below are mentioned:

1.    The strengthening of the bonds and development of a cooperative spirit and a motion of solidarity among its members.

2.    Putting forward requests and solving of problems which the community faces.

3.    The promotion of civil, humanitarian, educational and other causes.

4.    The exposure of the community

We believe that with the collaboration we developed with the President and members of the Community Board as well as with all the organised groups we have achieved promoting our community, point many of our problems towards solutions, showcase and take advantage of our environmental and cultural riches with an aim to increase the housing and financial state of our area.
In order to achieve this meetings took place with the at the time Ministers of Internal Affairs, Transport and Works, Agriculture and Natural Recourses, the Province of Limassol and Nicosia, the Programming Department, the Cyprus Tourism Organisation, the Department of Archaeology and others. We have organised several activities to raise money. We took part in the founding of the Union of Migrants of North Marathasa, the creation of the Development Company of Treis Elies and the founding of the Development Company of Marathasa through which are promoted development plans and money withdrawals from European funds.
We worked towards the adoption of the Common Development Plan of North Marathasa from the Ministry Board and gave money so that the General Regulator Plan of Treis Elies would be made by the Centre of Municipal Heritage.

We would like to emphasise the understanding we have had from all the Government divisions and especially that of the District Administration and thank them all for their cooperation and promotion of our requests.

With the same eagerness and always in close partnership with the President of the Community Board we will carry on helping our community.
